CEMSA's Best Pressure Washer Just Got an Upgrade

After months of quiet development, CEMSA’s new PWF, also known as the high-pressure washer that is favoured within the car and truck wash industries, has officially launched. The modernised unit is a testament to one of many things, the most important one being: CEMSA’s ability to manufacture machines that are built to fit the operator, rather than forcing the operator to fit the pressure-washer. To find out more about how the optimised PWF fits ergonomic standards within the industrial cleaning equipment industry, carry on reading this blog.

CEMSA’s standard PWF, is a staple for hundreds of high-volume car and truck washes across Southern Africa. It is not new that as the leading pressure-washer manufacturer, we were bent on challenging our own design. In the process, CEMSA enhanced the PWF’s assembly to be more efficient and user-friendly for those working at bustling car or truck washes.

Starting with the frame, which has been upgraded from an aluminium and plastic combination to that of a full steel construction. CEMSA stands by the materials and construction of all their machines. However, the introduction of a full steel frame is sturdier, which increases the longevity of the PWF, allowing it to withstand rough treatment.

The upgraded PWF has a moulded handle, designed with the operator in mind. This ergonomic design provides the operator with comfort and control when accessing the interior of the machine. Instead of a bolt-on starter, the unit has been constructed with a built-in starter, which ensures that the electrics inside the direct online starter (DOL) are protected if they encounter any leakages.

CEMSA’s re-use of the original 55L ribbed tanks is an ode to the original PWF, a machine that was pioneered throughout the early 2000’s and has dominated the car and truck wash industries ever since. The modernised PWF also features a trip light, or bodyguard for the electrical system, which automatically switches the power off when it detects overload or a short circuit.

The PWF’s lance length has been changed from 500mm to 450mm which aids manoeuvrability in confined wash bays and reduces the chance of accidental damage. The unit comes standard with a 10m, 5/16” hose to assist with fatigue when operating the machine during high-volume periods. The choice of hose indicates that the operator is kept in mind as it is thinner and lighter, requiring less strength when in use. The electrical cable has also changed from 7m to 3m, which prevents tripping and damage risks.

What’s convenient about the PWF is that just like its older counterpart, it can be set up on a frame as a stationary unit or mounted on a wall. To obtain more information about the industry standard for car and truck washes, contact us or your nearest dealer today.
