When it comes to drain cleaning, there’s a lot more to consider than simply placing a hose down a sewer system. For instance, nozzle choice and sizing will have a substantial impact on the effectiveness and success of a blockage removal. That said, it’s important to make sure you have the right nozzle for your machine, or you could be losing performance.
WHAT IS A DRAIN JETTING NOZZLE?
A drain jetting nozzle is the component attached to the end of a drain jetting hose, responsible for directing high-pressure sprays to effectively clear tree roots and debris from pipes and drains.
CEMSA stocks a large range of nickel-plated and stainless-steel drain jetting nozzles. How do you know which nozzle is best suited to your application? Let’s get to know a few of the drain jetting nozzles that we stock and that pair perfectly with our mobile drain jetting and trailer units.

DRAIN JETTING NOZZLE (1/4” | 3/8”)
Our drain jetting nozzle is effective for unblocking pipes that are filled with dry, stubborn matter. This nozzle is a forward jet nozzle, meaning that with three rear-facing orifices and once in the front, it can pierce directly through blockages.

ROTARY DRAIN JETTING NOZZLE (1/4” | 3/8”)
Once dry debris is removed with the drain jetting nozzle, our rotary drain jetting nozzle can be utilised to break through both dry and wet matter clogging the pipe. Designed to assist drain maintenance, this nozzle is the solution for applications that consistently experience debris build-up.

RU REACTION DRAIN CLEANING NOZZLE (1/2” | 3/4” | 1”)
The RU Reaction Nozzle is the most universal drain cleaning nozzle and is generally used for residential applications. With a front water jet port, debris can be broken up before being cleared.

RR – TF ROTATING DRAIN CLEANING NOZZLE (1/2” | 3/4” | 1”)
CEMSA’s RR – TF Rotating Drain Nozzle is best for applications that require the breaking up of medium to soft compounds. It is generally used to penetrate blockages when mechanical agitation is required.

RR-TS ROTATING DRAIN CLEANING NOZZLES (1/2” | 3/4” | 1”)
Our RR – TS has a unique nozzle insert configuration which provides propulsion and a rotating body action. This rotation ensures that that pipes are thoroughly cleaned in all 360° of the pipe’s surfaces. To ensure a 360° clean/flush, this nozzle will be the last nozzle used in the drain.
